32" Quick-Adjust Suction Racking Wand
Overview
Our standard Suction Racking Wands have a bolt on the bottom, allowing you to adjust the standoff height from the bottom of your barrel so you can make sure you're racking from above lees…but the wand has to be out of the barrel to make the adjustment. With this suction racking wand, you can make depth adjustments on the fly. The top knob is attached to a bolt that goes through the whole body of the wand. You can twist the knob while you're racking, keeping an eye on the built-in sight glass to make sure you're getting eeeeeevery last bit of product from your barrel, while not hitting those lees. The bolt is finished with a very (very!) sharp point, to keep the wand anchored while you adjust the depth.
We make these wands here in our Santa Rosa shop from locally-sourced stainless steel tubing. They come with an integrated ball valve and sight glass, making them a lightweight all-in-one tool.
