Overview

If you're running a bottling or packaging line that uses compressed air, nitrogen, or CO2, it's in your best interest to filter that air. Particularly if the air gets near the packaging, as may be the case with air blowing/air rinsing.

Have you ever looked inside a compressed air tank? Probably not since they're usually sealed off and under immense pressure. But take our word for it: it ain't pretty. Air compressors work by drawing in ambient air and compressing it for delivery later. Ambient moisture solidifies into water when compressed. That's why sometimes you might notice water coming out of your compressed air lines.

So you have water in the compressor mixing with dust and whatever grit or bacteria was floating in the air when it was drawn into the compressor. Put it all together and, in the immortal words of Carl Weathers, Baby, you've got a stew going.

The best way to keep your air clean and pure is to install sterile air filters at points of use. That's where Graver's TefTEC™ V filters come in. TefTEC™ V are sterile filters designed to clean and filter the air delivered by air compressors or compressed gas canisters. TefTEC™ V will remove any particles larger than 0.2 µm, and prevent them from making their way into your packaging or the product itself. The filter's hydrophobic PTFE membrane produces verifiably sterile air after filtration, as tested with a bacterial aerosol challenge.

As with all Graver filters, they're made in the USA in Graver's Delaware factory. They are flushed with de-ionized water, integrity tested on-site, and packaged in an ISO Class 7 cleanroom.

We offer TefTEC™ V filters with Code 7 end caps by default, which will fit in our standard cartridge housings. If you would like alternate end caps to fit into a different filter housing, let us know.
