This item is too large to ship by parcel carriers. We'll ship it on a pallet and reach out to you with freight quotes prior to shipping. Keep in mind that heavier pallets are usually cheaper to ship than lighter ones, so consider adding more items to your order to save on shipping costs overall.

Harvest Order Item

Harvest items arrive from Europe once a year, in time for the wine harvest season.

Usually we get our containers from Europe in late July, sometimes early August depending on port conditions.

If you are interested in purchasing equipment for the current year's harvest, you must place an order with at least 50% deposit no later than April 1st of the same year. You can contact us to place a deposit, or place your order online to secure delivery in time for harvest.

Overview

The D-Selector from Mori delivers superior grape processing in a small footprint. It is ideal for facilities that wish to process high quality varietals with minimal manual labor. Easy to use in a variety of configurations, the D-Selector can be used to process any number of varietals with minimal changeover.

Labor during harvest can be hard to come by, so the D-Selector allows you to do a lot with fewer people. Manual selection tables require 4-5 people to operate. The D-Selector allows you to destem, sort, and crush with just two users: one dumping bins, and one controlling the D-Selector (if necessary).

For best results, grapes should be metered into the upper inlet hopper by elevator or by a vibratory doser. An oversized inlet hopper is available if you wish to dump direct from bins.

Once grapes are in, they enter the same gentle destemmer found on the Mori Dinamica destemming line. The variable speed controller allows you to process as slowly or as quickly as you like. A gentle plastic destemming cage and adjustable-height rubber beater bars allow for optimal berry removal with minimal jacks. Alternate cage sizes are available to accommodate different-sized berries.

Jacks and stems leave the destemmer through the end, while berries fall through to the Mori Rolly mechanical sorting table. Any residual MOG is automatically rolled down the table to the outlet. Whole berries fall through to the optional crushing rollers. If you do not wish to crush for a particular varietal, simply roll the crusher out of the way and whole berries will fall through.

The adjustable-height legs allow for output directly into a must pump hopper. If you use bins for processing, the whole unit can be raised up to allow for clearance of 1/2-ton bins underneath the unit. One-ton bins can be accommodated with an enlarged frame. Contact us for details.
