Plastic Destemming Cage

You can upgrade from the stock stainless cage with a plastic destemming cage. Plastic destemming cages have proven themselves time and again as a better alternative to stainless steel, which tends to have sharper edges. Sharper edges result in more jacks and stems attached to the grapes. Mori's plastic cages have smoother, softer edges that naturally separate the grape from the stem, resulting in cleaner fruit and better wine.

While plastic cages are the default on Mori's higher-end Dinamica line of destemmers, they are available as an option here. We highly recommend this option as a way to quickly see higher-quality destemming with relatively low investment required.

Cages are available in multiple hole sizes to accommodate different varietals. You should select a hole size that closely matches a size just a bit larger than the average grape you will be destemming. If you need multiple cages to accommodate different varietals, just let us know.
