Overview
For users looking to take more control of their pressing, Sraml's VP Standard presses allow you to tailor pressing cycles to your needs. They also feature several quality-of-life upgrades that will make cleaning easier, and pressing more gentle.
With sizes starting at 21 HL and topping out at a mammoth 320 HL, the VP Standard is the press series that grows with you no matter how high your production climbs.
Sraml VP vs. VPe
Sraml builds on their Eco press line, making many common optional add-ons standard-issue on the VP line. We are often asked what the difference is between VP and VPe presses. We'll break it down for you:
The difference between Eco & Standard starts with a larger 7" touchscreen PLC interface standard. The upgraded interface includes Sraml's AT Automation software. AT Automation features a greater array of pre-programmed pressing cycles, as well as space to add and save your own customized cycles. Sraml VP Standard presses still allow manual pushbutton control as necessary, of course, but with AT Automation, you're much less likely to need to use manual buttons. Just set it and forget it.
An axial loading valve comes standard on VP presses. Axial loading allows you to fill the press with a must pump while keeping the press doors closed. This allows you to fill your press to even greater capacities than if filling via the loading door, and a full press helps optimize juice extraction.
Axial valves also provide another access point for cleaning. One popular add-on for Sraml presses is a cleaning wand that you can push through the axial valve to easily rinse the interior of the drum. Here's a video that may help to visualize.
Cleaning is made even easier on VP Standard presses with easy access side panels. Both the top and bottom of the side rails are hinged, giving you complete access to the drum from either side of the press. This is particularly handy if you have extended press legs so that you can slide bins underneath the press for emptying. You won't need to stand on a ladder to reach the drum for cleaning. Just lift up the side panel, and you have full access to the drum from ground level.
