Overview

We carry US-made Tri Clamp gaskets in a variety of sizes and material types.

Made in the USA might sound like a strange thing to boast about on a Tri Clamp gasket. After all, aren't these things like a dime a dozen? Well, nothing's a dime a dozen anymore. Not with inflation being what it is. And what's more: if you look at one of these Made in the USA Tri Clamp gaskets you can — without question — see the difference in quality. Cheap gaskets have rough edges, uneven surfaces, and we can only speculate as to the quality of the elastomers they're using. In contrast, these gaskets have clean, well-formed edges, smooth surfaces, and are made using fresh-cured elastomers with whatever alphabet soup certification you can imagine: FDA, 3A, USP, etc. In short, these are what Tri Clamp gaskets should look like, and will provide a much more sure seal than a cheap gasket. Also: really, they're not that much more expensive than other gaskets. Like, a few cents. C'mon.

Material Types

  • Nitrile: Nitrile (a.k.a. Buna Rubber or Buna-N) is a standard tri-clamp material in the wine industry. It's good for wine and olive oil, but it's not recommended if you're cleaning with ozone. Products with high alcohol content may cause nitrile to swell slightly over time with prolonged contact. Nitrile rubber functions well in temperatures ranging from -40 °F to 212 °F, intermittent to 230 °F.°
  • EPDM: EPDM is excellent for wine, high-proof spirits, and cleaning with ozone. It is very tolerant to high and low temperatures, but is not recommended for oils. Operating temperature range: -58 °F to 302 °F
  • Platinum-Cured Silicone: An extremely inert, high-purity, and resistant choice that is not only suitable for food and beverage production, but for pharmaceutical and biotechnology applications. Operating temperature range -58 °F to 450 °F.
