Overview
Our customers have found all kinds of uses for Flojet's miniature marvel, the G57. Barrel topping, ingredient dispensing, small volume transfers, and serving customers from taps. We had one customer use it as a pressure booster for a hydro press when he found his city water pressure to be too low.
The G57 is a 5 GPM air diaphragm pump. It can be powered from a small pancake-style compressor, or even a tank of compressed gas.
Like all air diaphgram pumps, it can be "deadheaded"—that is, you can pump against a closed discharge without damaging the pump. Pressure will build up in the line, and the pump will stop until the discharge is opened again.
In general, the G57 is a great mini pump for small volume transfer of low-ABV products. Unlike the G70, the G57 cannot be grounded, making it unsuitable for high-proof transfer, or transfer of products that have a flash-point below 100 °F.
