Mori 40 x 40 Plate Filter Gaskets
Overview
Mori's 40 x 40 Plate & Frame filters have a gasket on each plate. Two, in fact. If you're noticing excess leaking/dripping from the plates, you'll want to rebuild the plates with fresh gaskets.
The gaskets are made of natural rubber, and come in two styles: internal plate gaskets and end plate gaskets. The internal gaskets are for the majority of the plates in your filter. The end plate gaskets are just for the end plates at both sides. If you're using a crossover plate, that plate also uses end plate gaskets.
So, for a full rebuild just count the number of internal plates and multiply that by two. Order that many gaskets. If you're not using a crossover plate, just add four end plate gaskets. If you are using a crossover plate, you'll need eight end plate gaskets in total. Four for the actual end plates, and four for the crossover plates.
And now the million dollar question: do these gaskets work on filters made by different manufacturers? The answer is…probably not, but maybe? We've found that they work on Spadoni Kappa plate & frame filters, and some Cadalpe plates. But that's all we know for sure. Unless you have a Mori, you're better off buying replacement gaskets from the original manufacturer.
