Overview
These nylon press diaphragms allow for a more even application of pressure in your Mori basket press. Users fill the press partially, add a diaphragm, fill a bit more, add another diaphragm, and so on until the press is full and ready to start. The diaphragms also provide a means of escape for juice pockets during your press run.
Each diaphragm size is meant for its respective press size. A standard configuration is three diaphragms for red grapes, spaced at equal distances. Pressing fresh white grapes requires more diaphragms; anywhere from six to nine is standard. Fresh grapes are more difficult to press, so using more diaphragms helps to break up pockets where unpressed grapes could cluster.
