Overview
Built to the same exacting standards as their fully-automatic monoblocks, the Easy Line Corker from Quinti is a leap forward in reliability and repeatability for semi-automatic corkers. While it looks similar to other corkers, and performs the same function — i.e. inserting corks while pulling a vacuum — it's what's inside that counts.
The main thing we like about the Quinti Easy Line corker is that it does away with the chains and pulleys found inside other semiautomatic corkers. These tend to be a source of frustration as they stretch, become misaligned, and break. The Easy Line uses a single linear motion shaft that moves the bottle up while compressing the cork and ultimately inserting it in one smooth, fluid motion on a single cam. No complicated timing, nothing to align, just easy corking.
Quinti's corkers use polymer jaws rather than metallic ones. While this may sound like a downgrade, it's anything but. We've found that some natural cork coatings have a tendency to react with metallic jaws, causing them to develop lines as they're being compressed. Polymer jaws are inert, and don't react with these cork coatings. Additionally, they don't require lubrication, and slide easily against one another, unlike metal which can gall over time.
The Easy Line Corker comes standard with vacuum that requires an air compressor capable of delivering 6 CFM.
