When a tank fills or empties, it breathes. Without a vent filter, that air brings in moisture and spoilage organisms. Most small producers overlook this, but if you're building a HACCP plan, your tank vents should be on it. These PTFE membrane filters are hydrophobic, steamable, and rated at 0.2 micron.
